Key Accountabilities

  • Governance & Standards: Establish and maintain policies to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Inspire and manage Governance & Standards teams, promoting core company values.
  • Safety Culture: Foster a safety-first mindset across the business.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead cross-entity initiatives for process standardization and innovation.
  • Risk Management: Ensure certifications and approvals remain valid through proactive risk management.
  • Team Development: Identify skills gaps and enhance team performance through training.
  • Audit Program: Oversee the integrated audit program to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Performance Measurement: Collaborate with stakeholders to track and improve process indicators.
  • Representation: Act as senior management representative for escalated governance and standards concerns.

Requirements

  • Experience & Qualifications:
    • Minimum: 12+ years in quality management, including 7 years leading quality teams in complex systems engineering programs.
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant vocational qualification.
    • CQI ‘Practitioner’ grade or above, ISO9001 Lead Auditor certification.
    • Preferred: 8+ years of defense industry experience, Master’s degree in Quality, multiple lead auditor certifications (e.g., AS9100/ISO9001).
