GC Vessel & Yard Supervisor Full Time

1. Review daily operations schedule prior to shift to ensure that the required resources are available and Ensure receipt of the vessel schedule and the details of the cargo (export or import)

2. Conduct random inspection of the gears being used for operations, Vessel Stowage plan and ensure that they are safe for operations

3. Conduct a pre-operational safety talk with the operations staff of different gangs

4. Ensure the operations team is equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) before operations

5. Maintain constant communication with the duty superintendent and ensure that the operation is executed according to the plan

6. Ensure standard productivity levels are maintained for all ongoing vessels

7. Monitor the quay operations and ensure that the time taken for cargo movement between vessel – yard – vessel is minimum

8. Coordinate with the Supervisor during the shift to ensure that the flow of cargo between the vessel & the yard is smooth

9. If required, offer assistance to the Duty Superintendent in vessel berthing

10. Ensure that optimal number of manpower is utilized at all times – if required coordinate with resource planning for more resources, if there are extra resources for the remaining operations, inform the superintendent and relieve them early.
