Role Summary:

We are currently looking to hire an individual with 3-5 years of working experience.

The successful candidate will be involved in macroeconomic analysis to support the development of

national level strategies across key economic sectors and inform policy formulation. The candidate will

have the chance to work closely with national authorities to make a meaningful contribution, promoting

sustainable economic growth and social development.

Role Responsibilities:

The successful candidate’s duties will include:

▪ Analysing economic data

▪ Developing econometric models for economic analysis and forecasting

▪ Research on economic and development issues with a macroeconomics focus

▪ Contributing to capacity development

▪ Communicating analysis in the form of presentations and technical reports

Required Skills & Experience:

▪ An advanced degree, preferably a PhD, in Economics or a related field

▪ 3-5 years of previous relevant work experience

▪ A solid knowledge of econometric techniques and related software, including Stata. Familiarity with

other software will be a plus

▪ Strong analytical and research capabilities

▪ Sound understanding of macroeconomics and ability to analyse different sectors of an economy and

their interdependencies

Competencies:

▪ Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams

▪ Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills

▪ Outstanding written and oral skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable

▪ Versatile and flexible in learning about different areas.
