Assistant Head Teacher Full Time NEW

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and inspire a team of teachers and support staff in delivering high-quality education to students with special educational needs.
• Promote inclusive teaching practices and ensure the effective delivery of the school’s SEN strategy.
• Monitor the progress of students and provide targeted interventions where necessary.
• Collaborate with other senior leaders to shape and develop the school’s vision for SEN.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students.
• Lead and support professional development for staff within the SEN team.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and review of Individual Education Plans
• Maintain and monitor the school’s provision for students with SEN, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practices.

The successful applicant will have the following:

• A certified teaching qualification, at degree level such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent . Open University or online degrees are not acceptable.
• At least 5 years of solid and demonstrable experience in Primary School in a British curriculum school
• Experience in a similar leadership role
• The desire to provide outstanding teaching and learning
• Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents
• A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
