Rail Direct (RD) is a prominent provider of rail logistics solutions, committed to delivering exceptional service and innovative transportation options to our clients. We are expanding our presence in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and are seeking a dynamic Business Development Specialist to spearhead our growth in these key markets.
The Field Sales Officer is responsible for generating new business and building strong relationships with customers in a specific geographic area. The role involves meeting potential clients, promoting products or services, closing sales, and maintaining customer satisfaction. This position requires regular travel to client locations and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Market Research:
Identify, analyze, and assess new business opportunities and market trends within the rail logistics sector in the UAE.
Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.
Client Acquisition:
Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients, targeting key industries and sectors in the region.
Expand Rail Direct’s business portfolio by securing new contracts and partnerships.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
Sales Strategy:
Develop, implement, and manage sales strategies that are specifically tailored to the UAE market.
Monitor and adjust sales tactics as needed to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Local Networking:
Establish and cultivate a robust network of contacts, partners, and influencers within the UAE’s business community.
Leverage local connections to enhance Rail Direct’s market presence and support sales efforts.
Reporting:
Provide regular updates and comprehensive reports on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activities.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management to guide business strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
Proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing clients in the UAE market.
Strong understanding of the UAE’s business landscape and market dynamics.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
