Auto Electrician Full Time

• Inspect, troubleshoot, disassemble, service, rebuild, overhaul, and repair electrical systems and subassemblies outfitted to a variety of light and heavy wheeled vehicles.
• Ensure that all light and heavy wheeled vehicle electrical systems and subassemblies maintenance inspections, servicing, rebuilds, overhauls and repairs are accomplished in accordance with all technical manuals, KPIs and OEM specifications.
• Perform quality maintenance repairs as part of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System program.
• Perform light and heavy wheeled vehicle electrical system and subassembly maintenance inspections to determine the extent of repair and spare parts requirements.
• Perform light and heavy wheeled vehicle electrical troubleshooting using special tools and diagnostic test equipment.
• Perform light and heavy wheeled vehicle electrical subassembly servicing, repair or replacement (starters, alternators, generators, regulators, pumps and motors).
• Ensure all maintenance order spare parts residue is returned to the B-Workshop store.
• Perform light and heavy wheeled vehicle electrical system and subassembly spare parts research to ensure that only required spare parts are requisitioned in the appropriate quantities.
• Complete maintenance related documentation such as maintenance tasks accomplished, direct labour hours consumed, vehicle specific information, spare part request forms, etc.
• Comply with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
• Ensure all issued tools, uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is accounted for, maintained and secured.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
• Support other members of the B-Workshop in fulfilling their roles.

Perform other duties as directed by the Manager, B Workshop.

Minimum Experience & Qualification 

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience performing electrical system and/or subassembly maintenance on light and/or heavy wheeled vehicles is required.
• The ability to interpret complex electrical, mechanical and/or hydraulic schematics is preferred.
• Previous experience using diagnostic testing equipment is an advantage.
• Knowledge in the use of SAP is preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required

Previous Diesel vehicles experience or automotive electrical training is an advantage.
