Role Summary
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing and leading warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and excellent workflow within our GMG Logistics vertical. This role demands a solid understanding of warehouse management processes, safety standards, and experience in team supervision. You will be responsible for coordinating with different departments to streamline operations and support our logistics team in achieving performance targets and excellent service delivery.
Core Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Supervision: Lead warehouse staff by example, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards while fostering a positive, cooperative work environment.
- Operations Oversight: Monitor and manage the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory control, order processing, and shipping/receiving activities.
- Efficiency and Productivity: Implement effective processes to maximize productivity and maintain inventory accuracy. Identify areas for improvement and introduce relevant solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with logistics, procurement, and retail teams to ensure seamless execution of all supply chain activities.
- Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions for warehouse staff on best practices, safety protocols, and new technologies to ensure ongoing professional development.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards for quality assurance by enforcing procedures and conducting regular inspections of inventory and equipment.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse operations, performance metrics, and inventory levels to senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- E-commerce experience is mandatory.
- Must have at least 2 years experience is a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite is must.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
